Welcome to The Epiphany School of Global Studies
The Epiphany School of Global Studies is a crossroads in the world of education. We provide a vibrant and energetic learning community located in a sleepy southern town. We are a school with a dynamic and innovative program of Global Studies, yet we exist in a region where traditional studies are considered the norm. We believe that the hearts and spirits of students are of paramount importance; therefore we educate them in tandem with their minds.
In 2013, only seven years after The Epiphany School of Global Studies was founded, the school crossed a threshold when we opened our doors for the first time to students as young as kindergarteners. As we step into the future and guide students throughout their educational journey in grades K–12, the administration, faculty and staff—along with the talented leadership at the Board of Trustees—will continue to offer an unparalleled learning experience to every student in every grade.
Here, in a unique and cutting-edge learning environment, students not only learn to read and appreciate Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet as students have done for hundreds of years, but also have access to state-of-the-art technology in the media center, where they have the ability to discuss the play—via Skype—with peer students from Stratford-upon-Avon. Our students begin their study of mathematics with a curriculum that was developed in Singapore, and they regularly journey to other countries, where they learn to appreciate other cultures, traditions, and histories. Students are engaged and challenged with a rigorous college-preparatory program that stresses mastery of core academic subjects, the development of critical thinking, and effective communication in multiple languages. By the time they graduate, our students are not only citizens of our country, they are citizens of the world.
Students at The Epiphany School of Global Studies are also educated in ethics, virtue, and values. It is here where friendships are made and tested, where opportunities for fair play and sportsmanship are common, where school-wide community service projects are the norm. Respect, integrity, responsibility, and service are expected, and students grow in self-confidence, with a concern for social justice and a deep commitment to community service. Here, students learn what it means to Love God and Your Neighbor as Yourself. When considering our ingrained values—alongside our outstanding athletic programs, performing arts, and cocurriculars—it’s no surprise that the energy and excitement of our students thrive amid a unique, comprehensive, and forward-thinking academic program that can be found nowhere else.
