Today, we had a wonderful picnic lunch with our kindergarten through 2nd-grade parents, grandparents, and siblings. We're grateful for our community support!

Thank you to the City of New Bern Fire-Rescue crew for coming and teaching us about fire safety! Ask a Lower School student about the fun they had and what they learned!

Enjoy some more pictures from the Lower School's Peace Day service!

Mrs. Vaughan and Mrs. Oliver took a group of middle schoolers to Oz during enrichment week! It was a great production. We even got to meet Toto.

We celebrated the International Day of Peace on both campuses at Epiphany last week. Thank you to everyone who performed, created art, and took part in the special services.

If you're going somewhere special over Enrichment Week, make sure you take an Epiphany flag with you! We're showing our Falcon pride all around the world. Flags available for purchase at the Trent Campus.

Please join us as we celebrate the International Day of Peace.

Epiphany student Makayla has four acrylic paintings on display at CAGS (Craven Arts Gallery and Studios, 309 Middle Street in Downtown New Bern) throughout September, October, and November. A great time to see her work is during ArtWalk, which takes place tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. Congratulations, Makayla!

Mrs. Tomboulian's visual arts class finished their Peace Day cranes today and stepped out into the sunshine for a photo session around the Peace Pole near the rear foyer. We're looking forward to sharing more pictures of their cranes at our Peace Day celebration at 9:10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, during Chapel. Please join us if you can!

Our very talented eighth-grader, Juliet, performed the Star Spangled Banner to open the Bike MS: Historic New Bern Ride this morning at Union Point Park. Thank you for sharing your talents, Juliet! Wonderful job.

The Honor Code Dedication is always a special convocation at The Epiphany School of Global Studies. Today our students, faculty, and staff once again committed themselves to our core values: respect, responsibility, service, and integrity. Special thanks to Dr. James for a meaningful and thoughtful chapel service and to Ben Copland for playing such beautiful songs on the cello.

Huge shoutout to all our fabulous readers who completed their Summer Bingo sheets with a Blackout! Their hard work and dedication paid off, and they enjoyed a Kona Ice today!

We can't wait to see all of our Falcons tomorrow! Welcome back, everyone!

Epiphany's Leadership Team met throughout the summer to plan for the upcoming school year, which is fast approaching! They also spent some time getting creative with several art projects. Mr. Wang took the time to share his pottery-making expertise, which the team really enjoyed. One afternoon was spent creating a piece of pottery on the wheel, another was spent painting the pieces, and then all were delighted to be reunited with their final project after it was safely fired in the kiln. Thanks to Mrs. Tomboulian and Mr. Wang for the opportunity to learn a new craft.

Epiphany was honored to be a co-sponsor (along with Surf, Wind & Fire) of "Disney Camp Rock - The Musical" this summer. All of the teens and mentors who worked on this production are to be commended - it was so much fun to see this show come to life on the stage at New Bern Civic Theatre. Thanks to all of our families who joined us at the open dress rehearsal. It was so nice to visit with friends in the middle of the summer.

Closures and adjustments due to impending weather:

Congratulations to Jack Arthur and Mason Oliver for their accomplishments at Summer Ventures. Summer Ventures in Science and Mathematics is a four-week, no-cost, state-funded program for academically talented North Carolina students who aspire to careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Jack and Mason were accepted into the Aquatic Ecology program at App State, where they did field research and created in-depth presentations, which they shared with the entire group on the last day.

AP scores are in, and our Falcons soared! Check out our scores:

Enjoy this beautiful day!

Students in our Underwater Creatures Camp learned about sharks, octopus, jellyfish, and deep sea creatures. We went to the North Carolina Aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores to see some of the creatures we learned about. We thought it was pretty interesting that the weight of all of our campers was about the same weight as a tiger shark!
