About Epiphany

Our Campuses

The Epiphany School of Global Studies is comprised of two campuses in the heart of New Bern, North Carolina, near the intersection of Highways 70 and 17. Our original campus site on Henderson Avenue opened in 2006, and the Trent Road Campus began serving students in 2012. The campuses are located a quarter of a mile apart, making drop-off and pick-up easy, even if families have students at both campuses. The Henderson Avenue Campus serves students in kindergarten through 5th grade and the Trent Road Campus serves Middle and Upper School students in 6th-12th grade.

The Henderson Avenue Campus

The Henderson Avenue Campus, located on nearly two acres, serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Students are separated by grade levels into different buildings or areas in order to ensure age-appropriate interactions. Sparks Hall houses the kindergarten classrooms, Cote Hall serves students in grades 1 and 2, the white building hosts grades 3 and 4, and the Annex serves grade 5.

All classrooms are clean and spacious, with IMG_0625.jpg up-to-date technology, including SMART Boards and wireless Internet access, which allows for varied learning opportunities. Classrooms on campus are dedicated to science (including laboratory experiments), art, and music. The media center has numerous computer stations and also includes a library, and there are ample indoor and outdoor study areas.

There are spacious outdoor play areas. The campus is fully fenced and some non-asphalt areas include a rubberized surface for safety. The play areas feature age-appropriate playground equipment, including slides, climbing apparatus, and monkey bars, along with tetherball, four-square, basketball hoops, and a gaga pit. On rainy days, students can play indoors in the gymnasium, which also serves as the cafeteria.

With only a single entrance during school hours, the school meets or exceeds all safety recommendations, and all visitors must wear identification badges to ensure our students’ safety.

The Trent Road Campus

IMG_9202.jpgThe Trent Road Campus, situated on 22 acres, serves Middle and Upper School students in sixth through twelfth grade. This new, technologically state-of-the-art building sprawls nearly 70,000 square feet. In addition to 15 regular classrooms, there are two laboratories, an art center, and a dedicated space for both instrumental and choral music. The Media Center has ample computer stations as well as spaces for quiet study. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas in the spacious cafeteria. The Performing Arts Center seats 540, and the massive double gym seats nearly 1,500 spectators. The modern, fully equipped weight room offers both free and machine weights. There is a dedicated chapel space along, with plans to have a specific office for college placement. Outdoor facilities currently include a soccer field and tennis courts.
