On Thursday evening The Epiphany School of Global Studies sent members of its swim teams to two away meets one in Kinston and one in Rocky Mount. At the Kinston meet, hosted by Parrott Academy, both the boys and girls teams finished in second place overall. Abbie Skladan won the 50 freestyle (27.63) for the girls. Last October, Epiphany students and faculty took their global learning experience abroad. Almost a dozen families traveled to Western Europe to visit Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. The group took in the sights and flavors of each country, enjoying shopping, dining at local restaurants, and taking in the architecture from small buildings in the cities to cathedrals and castles on the outskirts of town. When the first bell rang on August 24, students at Epiphany eagerly headed to the performing arts center (PAC) to see where their day was going to take them and how they were going to serve their community. After prayer and a brief devotional with Rev. Ed Koffenberger (Director of Spiritual Life), the students grabbed their supplies and headed out the doors.
